"Chicago: Teen Edition!"

  Chicago: Teen Edition has been adapted to be content-appropriate and flexible for Teen performers of all levels.  In “Roaring Twenties” Chicago, Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap... until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie along with Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of fame, fortune, and acquittal. 


  • This production is "PG-13" due to strong subject matter and thematic content. 
  • Casting for this production will be highly selective and it is possible not all applicants will receive a casting offer.
  • All cast members must sign and adhere to a code of conduct that will be included in the cast offers. 
  • Understudy roles may be included in cast offers.

🎭 "Chicago: Teen Edition" Workshop – An All-Inclusive Theatre Experience

 We’re thrilled to offer your student the opportunity to participate in our "Chicago: Teen Edition"  Full Production Workshop—a comprehensive musical theatre experience packed with value, training, friends, fun and unforgettable memories! For one all-inclusive fee, your performer will receive over 90 hours of rehearsals, instruction, and live performance opportunities… and we take care of everything... no volunteering required!

  • Twice-Weekly Rehearsals (Tues/Thurs evenings) for 9 weeks, plus a full Tech Week and six live performances over two weekends.
     
  • Expert Instruction from a professional theatrical creative team including: Director, Assistant Director, Music Director, Choreographer, Stage Manager, Producer, and Costumer.
     
  • Custom-Fitted Costumes provided for each cast member—no sewing or sourcing required.
     
  • Professional Video Projection Design to bring the world of Chicago to life with stunning, cinematic backgrounds.
     
  • Theatrical Lighting and Sound integrated for a polished, high-production-value show.

Auditions for "Chicago: Teen Edition" open for Ages 13-18!


Rehearsals and performances will be in-person at the Studio on

Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-8pm.  

Starting Thursday, July 24th,


Performances will be Oct 3-5, 10-12

 Students are required to purchase and bring to tech week/shows his/her own approved microphone.  Links to purchase will be emailed upon acceptance of role.:

 
Production Workshop Tuition is $595, payable upon acceptance of a role - with option for payment in two installments.


(The Studio is offering a 5% workshop tuition discount to active private lesson students, siblings and to those who refer a new student provided the new 

student accepts a role. *Discounts not to be combined.)


 Please note not all performers will be required at all rehearsals. The sequential rehearsal schedule will be released shortly after casting.

🎭 Principal Characters

  1. Roxie Hart
    Mezzo-Soprano (F3–B4)
    A chorus girl who becomes a media sensation after murdering her lover. Roxie is ambitious, cunning, and willing to do anything to achieve fame.
     
  2. Velma Kelly
    Alto (E3–D5)
    A vaudeville performer accused of murdering her sister and husband. Velma is confident, self-centered, and fiercely competitive.
     
  3. Billy Flynn
    Baritone (Bb2–G4)
    A charismatic and manipulative lawyer who has never lost a woman's case. He is a master of media manipulation and courtroom theatrics.
     
  4. Matron "Mama" Morton
    Alto (F#3–Bb4)
    The corrupt matron of the Cook County Jail who believes in reciprocity: "When you're good to Mama, Mama's good to you."
     
  5. Amos Hart
    Baritone (C3–F#4)
    Roxie's naive and devoted husband who is often overlooked and taken advantage of. He seeks recognition and love.
     
  6. Mary Sunshine
    Soprano (Bb3–Bb5)
    A reporter who believes in the goodness of people and is easily swayed by sob stories. Often portrayed with a twist in casting.
